Reed Electrical
New Construction Electrical in Port Hadlock, WA
Complete wiring for custom homes, ADUs and additions — from temp power to final.
New Construction Electrical for Jefferson County homes
New construction is the heart of what Reed Electrical does. Whether you're a builder putting up a spec home in Port Ludlow, a family building a custom house on acreage near Chimacum, or a homeowner adding an ADU behind the main house, we handle the electrical from first temp pole to final inspection.
We work directly from your plans, walk the framing with you before rough-in, and talk through where you actually want outlets, switches, lighting and data. Small decisions made at the framing stage are easy and inexpensive; the same decisions after drywall are not.
The local angle
Many peninsula lots are rural, wooded and far from the road. We're used to long service runs, trenching coordination, wells, septic pumps and outbuildings — the details that make country building different from city tracts.
Reed Electrical has served the Olympic Peninsula since 2010, and Ron Reed brings 22 years of hands-on experience to every job. We're 100% residential, so we know how to work cleanly in an occupied home and how to keep a builder's schedule on track. When the work needs a Washington State electrical permit, we pull it and schedule the inspection.

New Construction Electrical FAQ
When should I bring in an electrician on a new build?
As early as possible — ideally while plans are being finalized. That gives us time to coordinate the service location, temp power and utility requirements.
Do you work with general contractors?
Yes. We work with local builders and remodelers as well as owner-builders, and we keep communication simple so the schedule stays on track.
Can you pre-wire for a generator or EV charger?
Absolutely. Planning for a transfer switch or EV circuit during construction costs far less than adding it later.
